The founder member, John Kiggen, shown above with his two sons, Dale (right) and Lyle (left), formed the Company Hwange Builders in 1986 and operated out of Hwange for fifteen years before re-locating to Bulawayo in 2002. The Company name was then changed to Kiggen Enterprises (Kiggen Construction).
Over the past few years the Company, Kiggen Construction, have been involved in projects in Botswana, South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania.
The main occupation of the company is construction including civil, domestic and safari lodges.
The Company Shareholders and Directors are set out below:
A J F Kiggen – Shareholder and Director
- Over 45 years in the construction industry. Prior to the formation of the company, he has been involved in projects throughout Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi, including multi-storey buildings, canals and dams for sugar estates, concrete silos and reservoirs as well as factories and housing estates.
D G A Kiggen – Shareholder and Managing Director
- Over 25 years in the construction industry. Has been involved in projects throughout Zimbabwe, in Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia and Tanzania. Has experience in most aspects of building and civil works.
L J Kiggen – Shareholder and Projects Director
- Over 20 years in the construction industry. Has been involved in projects throughout Zimbabwe and in South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. Has experience in most aspects of building and civil works.
T M Kiggen – Director
- Over 20 years in the construction industry. Has experience in procurement and administration.
A S Walsh – Director
- Over 25 years in the construction industry. Has been involved in projects throughout Zimbabwe and in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. Has experience in contracting and quantity surveying.
F G Cloete – Director
- Over 20 years in the construction industry. Has been involved in projects throughout Zimbabwe, and in Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. Has had a lot of experience in civil works on Wankie Colliery as well as building works.
S Gwanzura – Shareholder and Director
- Over 30 years as a Chartered Accountant
